TUNE YOUR VOICE - TUNE YOUR LIFE with Christine M. Grimm: Christine

CHRISTINE M. GRIMM, M.F.A.

As a sound therapist for more than 10 years, Christine M. Grimm has merged the concept of the chakras with modern approaches to sound healing. Her Tune Your Voice - Tune Your Life  method uses voice analysis for balancing the body-mind-soul. Her passion for sound as a healing art has led her to produce two Tune Your Voice - Tune Your Life CDs: The first version in the standard tuning of A=440 and the new version of the CD (II) in the RA tuning of A=424, which matches naturally occurring frequencies.

Christine offers concerts - Songs & Sounds in the Key of RA - that combine sound healing with original music in the RA tuning. She teaches a combination of breath, sounding, vocal technique, singing, aroma and color therapy, intuitive work, and chakra balancing for a holistic body-mind-soul experience at her workshops and in private sessions. Christine has also developed Sound Therapy Yoga using tuning forks and toning modalities.

Her workshops are based on the three principles of relax (breath/massage/therapeutic yoga), release (sounding/percussion play), and regenerate (toning with the Tune Your Voice - Tune Your Life CD/working with tuning forks and other healing instruments). See the Events for more information.

Singers and speakers can also benefit from vocal attunement and breath work. Christine uses this approach as the basis for both speaking and singing lessons. See the Private Sessions page for more information.

Christine M. Grimm completed her training as a sound therapist at the Sound Therapy Center of L.A. in August of 2001, following studies with Elaine Thompson (Sharry Edward’s Signature Sound/England) beginning in 1997. She also trained with Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal in Therapeutic Yoga, which she uses as the basis for her Sound Therapy Yoga Workshop and private sound-healing sessions. In 2004, she studied the use of sound, color, and touch for healing with Fabien Maman at the Tama-Do Academy. In 2006, she explored the use of tuning forks with sound expert Dr. John Beaulieu and uses them to help restore a balance of frequencies within the body, mind, and soul. Christine is also trained in Living from Vision, Superlearning, and Kindermusik and incorporates these principles into her work with adults and children of all abilities. She is a member of the American Music Therapy Association.

In addition to workshops in the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas, she is available to teach and perform at yoga studios, healing centers, spas, and other venues. Please contact Christine to book workshops, concerts, and private sessions.

Christine (pronounced Christine-ay) earned her Master of Fine Arts from the UCLA Theater Arts Department and a B.A. in English (Minor in Music) from CLU in Thousand Oaks.
